i plan to play around with the whites of the print designs to help push/pull the figure to make it less flat.
- are the different styles good, or do i need to pick patterns from the same print, perhaps?
- is the figure position good?
- do i need to abstract the figure more or make it look more realistic?
- background-- more, less, dark-light gradient, or does there need to be something there?
PLEASE give me your ideas!! thanks!

What would it look like if you put a subtle texture of your wood block in the background. Try maybe a sage green color to complement your shirt. Just an idea... I love the concept and it looks like your making good progress.
Your variation in design pattern creates interest. I think of Klimt's use of pattern.
Like in "The Maiden", "Three Ages of Women", "Water Serpents I" and others.
He also did some mixed media work with paper such as "Stoclet Frise : Expectation"
You may want to look at these works.
